Solid Waste Management
PECL has the capacity to manage and dispose solid wastes including but not limited to scrape metal, building construction waste, tyres, plastics and food waste, with strict adherence to different technical disposal options and standard compliance.
Liquid Waste Management
This basically refers to the effluent from the sewerage system, septic tanks, grease traps from kitchens and camp sites portable toilets (highly restricted to liquid chemicals). When this waste stream is full and needs immediate attention, PECL can do pump outs to transportable containment. This waste can then be taken to government run sewerage systems for proper discharge.
Hazardous Chemical Waste Management
PECL does provide services including manifestation, packaging, Transportation and transboundary movement of all chemical waste categorized as hazardous and fall under Dangerous Goods (DG). PECL strictly complies with Wagani and Basel Convention for the transboundary movement of Hazardous/DG waste. After.
General Waste Management
PECL also does camp sites general waste management and disposal. This scope can also be done to municipal waste in main residential areas, towns and cities. These wastes collected will be further classified and segregated before taken to landfill for proper and appropriate disposal.
Advance Recycling Service
PECL has Distillation Plant under construction at Laloki Waste Management Facility for distilling and recycling oil and fuel back to fuel-oil. The fuel–oil will be reused in boilers and chillers. Scrap metals, plastic containers and other classified recyclable waste will be exported overseas for recycling, reuse and of course reduce waste risk to the environment.
Waste Incineration
PECL operates a PortaBurn incinerator. The incinerator is specifically designed with a chamber that has double smoke scrubber which filters the air to avoid dioxins and furans emission into the atmosphere during burning. Oily rags, oil filters, used spill kits, hydrocarbon containment tins and hazardous plastic containers are incinerated.
Landfill Construction & Management
PECL currently uses Baruni Landfill. PECL also would like to work in partnership with very experienced companies abroad to design, construct and manage the landfill with the presence of Leachate Management purposely for inert solid chemicals disposal.
Environmental Consultation Services
The firm provides consultation services mainly on environmental issues affected by improper disposal of Hazardous waste. Water, soil and air sample can be analyzed and tested in the laboratory to compare results against the standard thresholds. Discuss safe methodology with improvised technologies to mitigate such pollution directly imposed
Waste Water Treatment Plant Construction & Monitoring
Waste water treatment plant is a concern for effluent release to the environment. PECL looks into investing in the construction, maintenance and monitoring existing and new water treatment plant. Water treatment analysis test will be done to identify the level of chlorine, total dissolved solid, dissolved
Permitting Process
Trans-boundary movement of hazardous chemicals has to be permitted by importer country. Almost all junk chemicals are exported to Australia for proper treatment and disposal. As such permit of different chemicals have to be approved by Australia Competent Authority. PECL has handled the above processes over time and has solid established
